This series began in June when I began experimenting with very fine Japanese paper. I would use gouache and charcoal, place the paper on a rough surface and see what texttures would appear. I realized the paper was too thin so I switched to a heavier 150lb cotton paper - larger size 30” x 42 “
The previous 4 photos are enamel, and some gouache on the 30” x 42” cotton paper.
This is the template I use to create the paintings.
