Hurt

you must have been in pain
while you harvested your garden knowing
you would be the one to stop the growth of something so wonderful,
beautiful and a gift to many
and it was of your self, heart, sweat and toil that helped nurture
this wonderful landscape
they'll never know how much it means to you,
I have some insight, yet I wasn't the one who created the masterpiece
and you dearest are hurt
and I won't forget the sight of you, hoe, rake and wheel barrow carrying
something you loved
down to the woods
where they'll rest and return to our Creator
